Endevor

Working the shop's Endevor change management from the Editor as Explorer for Endevor does: the map, retrieve with and without signout, update and add with CCID and comment, generate with the listing in Problems, move, sign in, history and change levels.

Verification state: not yet run against Endevor. Tested against a modelled Endevor Web Services only; the request shapes come from Broadcom's open-source Explorer for Endevor, cited per request. The add and update upload shape is not pinned by any public source. The verification kit has read-only map listings and, in a sandbox you name, add, retrieve with signout, update, a stale update, history, generate, listing and sign in; it never moves or deletes.

Shops that moved to git use Compile on z/OS instead: see Compile and check on z/OS.

Connect

Endevor Web Services v2 is reached through the z/OS connection's transport, with the z/OS user's Basic credentials. Connections come from Zowe endevor and endevor-location profiles, or Add Endevor Connection; Remove Endevor Connection removes one.

The Endevor view

The Endevor view lists the configuration, each environment and stage with where it moves to, systems, subsystems, types, and elements with their version, processor group, last CCID and signout.

  • Show Elements in Place lists elements at the chosen location only.
  • Show Elements Up the Map includes elements found up the map.
  • Refresh Endevor reads again.
  • Open Element opens the element as a read-only endevor: document. Listings, histories and reports open the same way.
